WILLIAM LONZO FINLAYSON (ALEXANDER, ANGUS) was born Apr 18, 1880 in South Carolina, Chesterfield Co, and died Oct 10, 1962 in Drew Co., Arkansas He married JESSIE MAE HANKINS Sep 20, 1902 in Drew Co., Arkansas daughter of JESSE HANKINS and LOUELLA BROOKS. She was born May 13, 1882 in Drew Co., Arkansas and died Feb 24, 1971 in Drew Co., Arkansas

William and his brother Malcom were on there way from South Carolina to New Orleans to find work. When they passed through Monticello, the cotton mills were going at full strength and William decided to get a job there. Soon after he met Jessie Mae Hankins and got married and made monticello his life long home.
