ANGUS FINLAYSON was born Abt. 1790 in Scotland, and died Bet. 1850 to 1860 in North Carolina, Cumberland Co. He married CATHERINE [FINLAYSON] Abt. 1820 in (?)Scotland or North Carolina. She was born Abt. 1792 in Scotland, and died Bet. 1860 to 1870 in North Carolina, Cumberland Co.

The Registar of Deeds of Cumberland County wrote Mrs. Rowland and said they have on record there that Angus and Catherine Finlayson were immagrants from Scotland and have found nothing to disprove that. Records show that Angus sold several tracts of land totaling more than 150 acres for 1.20.
